Upcoming BPL T20 begins on January 21 next year

The Bangabandhu Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) T20 2022 will be underway from January 21, according to the press release from the Bangladesh Cricket Board.

With Dhaka, Chattogram and Sylhet as hosts, the six-team tournament, featuring Dhaka, Chattogram, Cumilla, Barishal, Sylhet and Khulna spanning over 34 matches, will be played on a double round-robin format followed by three play-offs before the final on February 18.

The player draft of the event's eighth edition is scheduled for December 27.

A prize money of BDT one crore is up for grabs for the champions while BDT 50 Lac is allocated for the runners up.
