Shakib's cameo in vain as Falcons eliminated
Ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan scored a rapid 26 runs off nine balls with a six and four fours in the CPL 2025 Eliminator match between the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons and Trinbago Knight Riders on Tuesday.
Despite his efforts to provide a late surge, the Falcons were eliminated from the tournament, losing by nine wickets against three-time champions Trinbago Knight Riders.

Batting first, the Falcons posted a challenging total of 166 for eight, with Amir Jangoo (55) and Andries Gous (61) scoring the bulk of runs before Shakib's late cameo provided the perfect finish.
Trinbago, though, comfortably chased down the target in 17.3 overs, losing only a wicket, with Nicholas Pooran (90*) and Alex Hales (54*) remaining unbeaten.
Shakib bowled three overs for 24 runs without taking a wicket.
