Mushfiqur’s fifty, Mominul’s fluent ton help BD A amass 322

Mushfiqur Rahim, who is currently playing for Bangladesh A as part of the preparation for the upcoming T20 World Cup, struck a quick-fire fifty against the High Performance (HP) side at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram today. 

Aside from Mushfiqur's 54-ball 62, Bangladesh Test skipper Mominul Haque and Najmul Hossain Shanto were also amongst the runs. Mominul was the top scorer for the side with his 121-ball 128 while Shanto played a  67-run knock off 85 deliveries as Bangladesh A amassed 322 for seven in their second one-dayer today. 

Mominul and Shanto gave Bangladesh A side a fluent start as the duo stitched together a 154-run opening stand before the latter departed.

Mushfiqur, who came to bat in the 30th over, was a bit cautious initially, scoring eight off first 17 deliveries. However, the right-hander started getting in his groove eventually, playing slog sweep, ramp shots as he scored the remainder of his 54 runs in just 37 deliveries. 

Mohammad Mithun also played a 25-ball 15-run cameo to help Bangladesh A finish on a high note. 

For the HP side, Rezaur Rahman scalped four for 42 runs. He also removed Mushfiqur at the death.
