Jishan Alam produced a blistering unbeaten half-century as the Bangladesh High Performance (HP) team sealed a comprehensive seven-wicket victory over Malaysia in the second and final T20 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur yesterday, completing a 2-0 series sweep.

Jishan smashed an unbeaten 57 off just 21 balls, striking two fours and seven sixes. He reached his fifty in only 19 deliveries as Bangladesh raced to 107 for three in 7.4 overs.

His opening partner Zawad Abrar also provided a rapid start, scoring 23 off eight balls.

Earlier, Malaysia captain Sed Aziz top-scored with 40 off 52 balls, while Ahamed Aqeel made 30 off 33 as the visitors were restricted to 105 for four after opting to bat first.

Pacer Abu Hider Rony was the pick of the Bangladesh bowlers with two wickets for 20 runs, while spinners Md Rubel and Rakibul Hasan claimed one wicket each.

Bangladesh HP had won the opening game by 89 runs at the same venue on Saturday.

Malaysia will now play a three-match one-day series against the Bangladesh U-23 side at the Bashundhara Sports Complex respectively on August 12, 14 and 16.
