Fourth negative Covid result sets Tigers free in NZ

Star Sports Report

The Bangladesh cricket team have completed their group training and group gym session in Christchurch, New Zealand today.

The members of the team will leave the Managed Isolation & Quarantine (MIQ)  facility tomorrow as all the members of the squad returned negative results from the fourth and final Covid-19 test, said a message from the Bangladesh Cricket Board today.

At the end of the 14-day mandatory self-isolation period, the team will depart for Qeenstown tomorrow afternoon for a five-day camp before moving to Dunedin on March 16.

The first match of the three-match ODI series, which will be followed by three-match T20 series, will be played in Dunedin on March 20.

New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson will miss the ODI series due to an injury on his elbow. It is believed that he would skip the T20 series too to play in the IPL.
