Bangladesh opt to bat in final T20I against Australia

Star Sports Desk

Bangladesh have won the toss and elected to bat in the third and final T20I against Australia at the Bir Sreshtho Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium in Chattogram today.

The hosts, led by stand-in captain Towhid Hridoy in the absence of injured regular skipper Litton Das, have made several changes to their playing XI. Nurul Hasan Sohan replaces Soumya Sarkar, while Abdul Gaffar Saqlain and Mustafizur Rahman make way for Taskin Ahmed and Shoriful Islam.

Australia, meanwhile, remain unchanged from the side that won the previous match.

The Tigers will be playing for pride as they look to give the home crowd something to cheer about, having already conceded the series 2-0.

Australia, on the other hand, will aim to complete a clean sweep and finish the tour on a high, especially after suffering a 2-1 defeat in the preceding ODI series.
