Tigers' tour match today

The Bangladesh cricket team will begin their tour of West Indies as the visitors take on CWI President's XI in the two-day warm up game at the Coolidge Cricket Ground in Antigua today.

The warm up game will help Tigers' new head coach Steve Rhodes in forming the team combination for the first of the two-match Test series starting from July 4 at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium.

There have been a lot of talk about the seaming pitches in the Caribbean – a type of wicket on which Bangladesh batsmen typically struggle -- with the in-form West Indies pacer Shanon Gabriel expected to play a big role for the hosts.

The right arm seamer bagged 13 wickets in the second Test against Sri lanka and managed to draw the Test match where his well directed bouncers and swinging deliveries kept the batsman guessing.

On the other hand, Bangladesh's pace bowling department is a matter of concern as they will be missing the services of Mustafizur Rahman for the Test series due to his toe injury. Rubel Hossain will have to lead the attack alongside newcomers Abu Jayed, Shafiul Islam and Kamrul Islam Rabbi. The visitors will take part in the second Test from July 12 at the Sabina Park which will be followed by the three match ODi and T20I series.
