Tigresses pick up easy win against USA

Bangladesh women's cricket team registered a commanding eight-wicket win over the United States of America women's side to begin their ICC World T20 qualifier campaign at the Arbroath Sports Club ground in Scotland today.

Electing to bat the USA were bundled out on just 46 runs courtesy of some collective approach from the Bangladeshi bowlers. SK Chandhrasekar was the only USA batter to reach the double figure and scored 15 runs. Nahida Akhter picked up three while Jahanara Alam and Khadija Tul Kubra bagged two wickets each.

In reply Sanjida Islam top scored with thirty as Bangladesh reached the target losing just two wickets and 11.4 overs to spare. Bangladesh will take on the host Scotland in their next fixture tomorrow.
