Tamim reaches 5000 runs in T20s

Comilla Victorians opener Tamim Iqbal reached the milestone of scoring 5000 runs in T20s on route to an unbeaten 54-run knock, which helped his side beat Chittagong Vikings by seven wickets in their Bangladesh Premier League encounter at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram today.
Tamim, who reached the milestone in 186 innings, has 33 fifties and two tons in his overall T20 career. The left-handed opener currently has 5029 runs in T20s. Shakib Al Hasan is the next up among Bangladeshi's in the list after Tamim with 4667 runs in 264 T20 matches.
Tamim, is also the highest scorer for Bangladesh in international T20s, scoring 1613 international T20 runs in 75 matches.
