Tamim hopes Sabbir to return as ‘different man’
A lot of eyebrows were raised last week when Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) cut the ban of Sabbir Rahman a month short and included the right hander in the ODI squad for the upcoming New Zealand series, scheduled to begin from February 13. However, his national side teammate Tamim Iqbal hoped that Sabbir will return as a 'different man' when he plays for Bangladesh in New Zealand.
"As the team has been announced, now he is the part of the 15 members. One thing I hope is that he will not repeat the mistakes of the past. I think he also knows it. I share a lot of personal things with him. I hope that he will return as a different man. I hope that he will fulfill all the responsibilities not only as a Bangladesh player but also he will do all the things required as a cricketer."
Sabbir, who is currently in Chattogram playing for his Bangladesh Premier League side Sylhet Sixers also had previously hailed this opportunity as a 'second life' for him.
