Riders register easy win over Kings

Star Online Report

Rangpur Riders successfully chased a modest 141-run total posted by Rajshahi Kings riding on the 55-run knock of Rilee Rossuw and won comfortably by six wickets at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram today.

Electing to bat, Rajshahi never had any big partnerships going as they kept losing wickets at regular intervals and could only manage 141 runs in 20 overs. Rangpur pacer Farhad Reza was the pick of their bowlers, scalping three wickets for 30 runs.

Coming in to chase, the task was made relatively easy as Rossouw, who scored a fifty, partnered up with AB de Villiers and added 71 runs for the third wicket. De Villiers scored a quick-fire 37 runs before falling prey to Rajshahi spinner Arafat Sunny.
