Jayed four-for clinches first win against touring Afghanistan A
Bangladesh A clinched their first win in the five-match one-day series against Afghanistan A with a comfortable seven-wicket victory in the third match of the series at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram today.
Abu Jayed bagged four wickets for just 28 runs as Afghanistan were bowled out for 122 inside 33 overs. Bangladesh A coasted to victory with seven wickets to spare after losing a couple of wickets early in the innings and slumping to 3 down for 48 runs. Fazle Mahmud struck a 79-ball 57 while Afif Hossain notched 21 from 55 deliveries during a 75-run unbroken fourth-wicket stand. The series currently stands at 2-1 after the touring side won the previous two games quite comfortably.
Young off-spinner Mahedi Hasan also scalped three wickets while Abu Hider and Nazmul Islam bagged one wicket each.
