Ashraful, Tasamul strike tons as Kalabagan down Agrani

Mohammad Ashraful remained unbeaten on 102 while Tasamul Haque struck 106 as Kalabagan Krira Chakra chased down Agrani Bank's 252 with five wickets to spare at Savar today.

Opener Tasamul was involved in a 188-run partnership with Ashraful as the two brought Kalabagan close to victory. Kalabagan finally reached the target with 10 balls to spare as Ashraful steered them to victory. Earlier, Shahriar Nafees fell for 99, missing out on a century as Agrani posted to 252 runs on the board for the loss of nine wickets.

Khelaghar Samaj Kallyan Samity deafeated Brothers Union by three wickets in the Dhaka Premier League match at Fatullah today.

Brothers slumped to 187 all out in 46 overs after being asked to bat first as Hasan Mahmud bagged three wickets. Alok Kapali struck 66 but Brothers failed to really get things going against the Khelaghar bowlers.

In chase of 188, Khelaghar reached the last over with four wickets remaining and two runs required. However, despite loosing wicket in the last over, Khelaghar overhauled the target with three balls to spare.

The match between Legends of Rupganj and Shinepukur Cricket Club went right down to the wire as the equation for Shinepukur stood at one run remaining with one wicket in hand in the final delivery of the 50th over. Raihan Uddin struck a boundary in the last ball to give Shinepukur a one-wicket victory.

Rupganj had earlier posted 268 runs on the board following brilliant knocks from Mohammed Naim(93) and Parvez Rasool (88*).

In reply, Shadman Islam struck 95 at the top of the innings while Uday Kaul struck  61 as Shinepukur clinched victory.
