Software Freedom Day celebrated in Bangladesh

Bangladesh Open Source Network (BDOSN) today celebrated Software Freedom Day (SFD), an annual worldwide celebration of Free Software. SFD is a public education effort with the aim of increasing awareness of Free Software and its virtues, and encouraging its use. In 2004 this day was first observed and ever since the third Saturday of September was worldwide recognized as SFD.

Several discussions where organized at BDOSN to observe this particular day. The General Secretary of BDOSN Mr. Munir Hasan, Bangla Wikipedia Administrator Mr. Nurunabby Chowdhury Hasib etc were present in the event.
