Ever since Uncharted 4 got announced, gamers everywhere have been waiting for it to get released and the moment it got delayed back to 2016, most suffered from heartbreak. I admit, I might have shed a few tears upon hearing this devastating news. But with 2016 coming close by, it's time for the anticipation mood to hit new highs. While 'A Thief's End' suggests possible sadness at the end, we cannot wait for entering a new chapter in the saga of Nathan Drake and his adventures.

DISHONORED 2
The sequel to Bethesda's groundbreaking Dishonored, the game follows the story of Corvo and Emily Kaldwin. With each of them having their own individual story and their own set of powers, Dishonored 2 looks really good. And if the game looks anything like its E3 trailer, then we are up for something indeed.
MASS EFFECT
While the tale of Commander Shepard and the Reaper Invasion came to an end with Mass Effect 3. It's time for gamers to move on to the next chapter of BioWare's epic franchise as Mass Effect: Andromeda brings us a new set of characters and a fresh new storyline as gamers get to explore the Andromeda galaxy. The teasers we have gotten, till now, look exciting and only time will tell if this new installment to the franchise will be even better than the original trilogy or will it falter under the pressure of living up to the hype.
HORIZON
While 2016 has tons of sequels and reboots and a few prequels, Horizon: Zero Dawn stands out as it is an original and looks amazing. A game where you control a female protagonist who hunts down robot dinosaurs might sound weird but the fact that you can only use a bow, arrows and whatever you obtain from your mission, it sounds interesting as gamers have to use their brains well. They have to be clever about how they approach the game as they might have to use traps or use stealth tactics.
DOOM
Shotguns, blood, more shotguns, more blood. VICTORY! This reboot of Doom is heavily anticipated as gamers are about to revisit the game that we all loved and played.
Whether it's popping skulls out with shotguns or ripping apart demons with the chainsaw, this version of Doom looks like it's staying true to the original as gamers also have to pick health packs and ammo while also getting to perform executions moves!
I'd like to mention a few notable titles like Dark Souls 3, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, Quantam Break, Street Fighter V, Tom Clancy's The Division, Mirror's Edge Catalyst and XCOM 2 that could not make the cut because these 5 games stand out amongst the lot.Start saving up, people! 2016 looks like a promising year for the video game industry.
