Indian army commander Lt General Jagjit Singh Aurora meets with Mukti Bahini officers of Sector No. 1. In this meeting they discuss guerrilla tactics and activities.
Governor Malik in a radio speech says: The president has given me the duty to handover the power to the elected representatives. I expect your assistance on this matter and to restore peace. My government is an interim government. As soon as the regular state will return, we will hand over the power to the elected representative to restore sovereignty of the people.”
President Yahya Khan goes to Tehran in Iran to discuss Indo-Pak matters. Iran’s king Shah Reza Pahlavi welcomes him at the airport.
