Rights of estranged/ divorced spouse's child

This refers to the report, “What the Nobel Committee says” (Oct.11). This is for the first time that the Nobel Prize has recognised the rights of children -- education of children. When children work as labourers, they are exploited. But there is another type of exploitation of children -- by one of their own parents. In case of divorced/estranged couples, children are denied the love and affection of one parent as the other parent have custody of the child.
Victims of divorce are hapless children. To save children from infighting of their parents, children need a new law to have a proper relationship with both the parents. There should be a global convention on the law of shared parenting, which the UN members should sign and pledge to work for it.
