Rangpur Kotwali Police Station locked down after OC tests Covid-19 positive

Kotwali Police Station in Rangpur city has been put under lockdown as its officer-in-charge tested positive for Covid-19.

The administration is taking measures to send the people who came in close contact with the OC to quarantine, our local correspondent reports quoting Civil Surgeon Hirambo Kumar Roy.

The health authorities took decision to transfer all the activities of the station to a nearby building under the Victim Support Centre in the city, the civil surgeon said.

A total of 11 new people including the OC tested positive for coronavirus in the city yesterday, Civil Surgeon Hirambo said.
