Sedition: Khaleda asked to appear before court Dec 1

A Dhaka court today asked BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia to appear before it on December 1 in connection with a sedition case filed against her.

Judge Kamrul Hossain Mollah of Metropolitan Sessions Judges Court passed the order after hearing separate pleas filed by defence and arguments by prosecution.

The defence filed two petitions seeking adjournment of hearing and for Khaleda’s non-appearance before the court today citing reasons that she is physically ill.

The prosecution opposed the petition that sought adjournment of hearing.
