Rule of law to be maintained: Ashraf

Awami League General Secretary and Public Administration Minister Syed Ashraful Islam today said rule of law must be maintained in the country and all activities here will have to be carried out as per the law.

"There is no alternative but to maintain the law because Bangladesh is a country of rule of law," the minister said.

He was speaking at the opening ceremony of the two-day representatives' conference of Institution of Diploma Engineers, Bangladesh (IDEB) at its auditorium in Dhaka.

IDEB President AKMA Hamid presided over the discussion and Chairman of Bangladesh Muktijuddha Command Council Major General (retd) Helal Murshed Khan attended it as a special guest. IDEB General Secretary Md Shamsur Rahman delivered a welcome speech.
