PM’s rickshaw-van ride photo goes viral

A photo of Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina along with her grandchildren riding on a rickshaw-van in Gopalganj today has gone viral in the social media.

The serene photo depicted PM Hasina on a rickshaw-van with her grandchildren showing them at her native village in Tungipara, where she went for a visit today.

Instead of taking her transport facilities, the premier chose the mode of local transport to show her grandchildren around in Tungipara, which is indeed a rare instance.

Radwan Mujib Siddiq, son of Sheikh Rehana, and his children Kaius and Leela were accompanying the prime minister on an hour-long-rickshaw-van-ride, PM's Press Secretary Ehsanul Karim told The Daily Star.

The photo has been shared virally on the social media site Facebook since it was posted today.
