No search body succeeded in last 10yrs: Akbar Ali

Former adviser to the caretaker government Akbar Ali Khan today claimed that no search committee has succeeded in providing names of proper dignitaries to the Election Commission for the last 10 years.

“In the last 10 years, the search committees couldn’t provide any names of those who could serve the Election Commission successfully,” he said.

“Therefore, search committees are yet to be successful,” said the noted economist and former top bureaucrat.

He was addressing as chief guest at the inaugural programme of “UCB public parliament-2017” at the Bangladesh Film Development Corporation in Dhaka.

Private television channel ATN Bangla and United Commercial Bank jointly organised the programme.
