Khaleda meets US envoy Shannon

Visiting US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Thomas A Shannon met with BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia at her Gulshan office this morning.

The meeting started at 10:45am and continued for 45 minutes, Sayrul Kabir Khan, an official of Khaleda’s press wing, told The Daily Star.

Shannon is in Dhaka with a US delegation for the US-Bangladesh Partnership Dialogue. He is scheduled to leave Dhaka today.

The BNP chief will hold another meeting with a Canadian delegation at the same venue at 7:30 pm today.
