Khaleda trying to create uncertainty: Inu

Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu today alleged BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia is trying to create uncertainty and a constitutional vacuum in the country.

She is trying to create uncertainty and constitutional vacuum in the country with her proposals on formation of an Election Commission, Inu alleged.

“Khaleda Zia basically proposed for a dialogue between Razakars, killers of Bangabandhu and murderers of 1971 and pro-Liberation War, and democratic bodies,” the information minister told journalists at a press briefing held at the Secretariat in Dhaka.

With a call for forming the next EC on the basis of "consensus" among all political parties, Khaleda on November 18 rolled out a 13-point proposal for its formation.

She said all registered political parties would hold meetings with the president separately and recommend two names for each post and provide details of the nominees.
