Khaleda to sit with intellectuals, journos tomorrow

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia will sit with intellectuals, journalists and professionals tomorrow evening following two recent terror attacks in Gulshan and Sholakia.

The meeting is scheduled to be held at her Gulshan office at 8:00pm, Sayrul Kabir Khan, a staff of Khaleda Zia’s media wing, told The Daily Star.

Khaleda has organised the meeting to create awareness against militancy, he said.

Meanwhile, Khaleda has convened an emergency meeting with leaders of 20-party alliance at the Gulshan office at 8:00am today to discuss the same issue. 

The two terror attacks among other issues are likely to be discussed in the meeting, Sayrul said.

Two days after the Gulshan attack on July 1, Khaleda at a press conference urged for a national unity to rid Bangladesh from militancy.
