Khaleda convenes standing committee meeting tomorrow

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia will sit with members of the party’s newly formed standing committee tomorrow evening to discuss the current political situation.

The meeting will be held at the BNP chief’s Gulshan office around 8:00pm tomorrow, Syrul Kabir, a staff of the party chairperson’s media wing, told The Daily Star.

With Khaleda in the chair, BNP insiders said, the policymakers of the party will also discuss about the national unity to curb militancy.

Khaleda will also hold a meeting with the chiefs of her party-led 20-party alliance on Saturday evening at the same venue.
