Khaleda to brief media tomorrow

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia will brief the media tomorrow on the ongoing political situation of the country.

The press conference will be held at 4:30pm at her Gulshan office, Syrul Kabir Khan, a member of BNP chief’s media wing, confirmed it to The Daily Star.

From the press conference, Khaleda Zia is likely to come up with protest programmes against the government’s move to set up coal based power plant at Rampal, 10 km away from the Sundarbands, party insiders said.

Different citizens and environmentalist groups have been opposing the power plant fearing negative impact of Sundarbans’ biological environment.
