Joy to join AL council

Sajeeb Wazed Joy, the only son and ICT adviser to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, will join Awami League's national council, slated for October 22-23 at historic Suhrawardy Udyan.

AL joint general secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif disclosed the information while addressing a meeting of the sub-committee for council at the party president's Dhanmondi office.

"Joy will join the council for the first time," he said adding the PM's son would participate the council as a councillor from Rangpur district.

Joy, a computer engineer lives in the USA, became the member of the oldest political party in the country in February 2010 from Rangpur district.
