Jamaat demo protesting militancy tomorrow

Jamaat-e-Islami will hold demonstrations across the country tomorrow protesting the “rise of terrorism activities and militant attacks”.

The announcement was made in a statement issued for the media today signed by the party’s acting Secretary General Shafiqur Rahman.

Jamaat is already under fire for its anti-liberation stance during Bangladesh’s independence in 1971. Ruling Awami League alleges it is involved in terrorist activities.
