Graft case: Khaleda to appear before court tomorrow

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia will appear before a Dhaka court tomorrow in Zia Charitable Trust graft case.

Sayrul Kabir Khan, a member of the BNP chief’s media wing, confirmed it to The Daily Star today.

On December 15, Judge Abu Ahmed Jamadar of the Special Judge Court-3 in Dhaka asked Khaleda to appear before it tomorrow (Thursday) in the case. Otherwise, her bail will be cancelled, the court said.

The same day was the scheduled date for placing her self-defence statements. But she could not appear before it due to physical illness.

Earlier, a total of 32 prosecution witnesses including complainant of the case gave their statements before the court on different dates.
