Don’t underestimate communal BNP: AL

Dubbing BNP a quarter of communal forces, Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader today warned the party’s followers and activists not to underestimate the party.

“BNP is weak in waging movement, but it is strong with the support of communal forces,” Quader said at a pregramme in Tejgaon industrial area this afternoon.

Calling upon leaders and activists of the party to face all opponents politically, Quader said: “We will commit a mistake if we feel self-satisfaction treating BNP as weak.”

He was addressing a preparatory function at Tejgaon Colony Market to successfully observe the homecoming day of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on January 10.

He also asked his party men to uphold responsible behaviour with the people. “Otherwise they (people) will give a befitting reply through the ballots.”
