DMP ‘telling lies’: Rizvi

BNP senior joint secretary general Rizvi Ahmed today said the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) is “telling lies” claiming non-receipt of application of the party for its rally at Nayapaltan on November 8.
Refuting the DMP’s claim, Rizvi said that they submitted an application to DMP yesterday seeking permission to hold a rally in front of BNP Nayapaltan headquarters on November 8.

Despite this, Dhaka Metropolitan Police is telling lies claiming non-receipt of our application,” the BNP leader said while addressing a press conference at the party’s central office in Dhaka this evening.
Rizvi also projected the receipt copy of the application before the newsmen during the press conference.
