Communalism, militancy major challenges for govt: Quader
Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader today said communalism and militancy are the major challenges for the Awami League-led government.
Militant activities seemed to have lessened following actions taken by law enforcers but it does not mean that militants left Bangladesh, the minister said.
“May be, they (militants) are taking preparation for bigger attacks,” said Quader, also the newly elected new general secretary of the ruling AL.
He was speaking during a discussion on development and contemporary politics with members of Secretariat Reporters Forum at his Secretariat office in Dhaka
Talking about the Padma bridge, the minister said it will take Bangladesh to respectable place in the world. The construction of the bridge will be completed in due time, he added.
