BNP demands exemplary punishment of B’baria attackers
BNP today termed the recent attack on the people of Hindu community in Brahmanbaria as a “planned incident” and demanded exemplary punishment of the attackers.
“The attack is a planned incident and interference to the people’s religious freedom, social peace and harmony,” said BNP senior joint secretary general Rizvi Ahmed.

A group of vested quarter has been trying to destroy people’s religious harmony, Rizvi came up with the reaction at a press conference at party's Nayapaltan headquarters, two days into the attack.
Last Saturday, religious zealots vandalised and ransacked at least five temples and over a hundred houses of the Hindus and looted valuables over a feud of a Facebook post.

“I strongly denounce and protest the damages of temples of the Hindu community, looting of their valuables and attacks on them.”
He also alleged that the most of the attacks on people of different religious communities took place during this “secular government”.
Alleging the government for damaging the people’s social knot, he said every attack has a "political motivation."
