BNP claims 100 party men held in crackdown

BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Rizvi Ahmed today claimed that over a hundred of his party men were detained during the government sponsored-crackdown across the country.

The detention was made in the pretext of curbing the emergence of militancy and extremism in the country, he told The Daily Star this evening.

Besides, the government claimed that around nine hundred people were detained from different parts of the country on several allegation including militancy and extremism.
