AL satisfied with polls terming it fair, peaceful

The ruling Awami League expressed satisfaction over the zila parishad elections terming the election as free, fair and peaceful.

“Today’s zila parishad election was free and fair. Through this local government election, the practice of democracy will continue,” said AL Joint General Secretary Dipu Moni.

She was addressing a press conference at the party’s Dhanmondi office after the end of the election that began at 9:00am and continued till 2:00pm in 61 districts across the country.
