PM should keep her promise for midterm election
By a very unusual move of the past government, the present government was formed. It was a great blow to the idea of democracy. The government had repeatedly said that it was bound by the constitution and the election must be held but there would be another election within a short time.
We expected the Prime Minister to keep her word, but at a press conference in New York she ruled out the possibility of any midterm election and holding any dialogue as, in her words, nothing wrong has happened in the country after the January 5 election.
The January 5 election is morally flawed and its fallout is noticeable everywhere. When the foundation of a building is weak, cracks are bound to develop and the building might crumble.
