“Owners press for right to overloading!” (September 23, 2014)

Sayed Rahman
The tragic incident of Pinak-6 is still alive in our minds. We know that accident happened mainly because of overloading. How do the owners demand that their vessels be allowed to carry more passengers than the government-set limit? I think the government should keep an eye on the situations at every launch terminal of the country during the Eid rush.

How audacious of them to make such a demand because they are under some sort of an illusion that their rickety ships are capable of taking in additional passengers, and all this at the risk of lives just so that they can make some extra money.
