"Umpire shocks Bangladesh fans"
It can be said undoubtedly that Bangladesh is playing well in the World Cup Cricket-2015. But in the match between Bangladesh and India, umpires' decisions shocked us very much.

Best of luck for South Africa
South Africa cricket team (one of my most favourite teams) was known as perennial chokers in major tournaments.

Crimes of Cops
Abu Sayeed, a nine-year old schoolboy was kidnapped and brutally murdered by a constable of police whose duty is to protect people. We do not know how his family will bear this agony; we have no words to console them.

Rape of a nun
The news of a 71-year old Christian nun being gang-raped in eastern West Bengal state is beyond belief.

Nasheed's arrest and judicial excesses
This refers to the report, "Maldives defends jailing of Nasheed" (March 16). The ex-president of Maldives has become another victim of judicial excesses.

That area has a different culture and geographical nature which should be preserved. The government must act quickly in this regard.

Khaleda's disappointing speech
Khaleda Zia's speech was indeed very disappointing. Having known the sufferings of the people, she still intended to continue the so-called movement.

No commentator from Bangladesh in WC
It is a matter of sorrow that we have not seen any Bangladeshi commentator in the World Cup Cricket 2015. We seem to have a shortage of commentators.

The education system is at stake
Little are the political parties concerned about engaging in dialogue and preventing the ongoing nationwide violence. Blockade for an indefinite period and continuous weekly announcement of hartals have left us with immense sufferings.

BNP Joint Secretary General Salahuddin Ahmed remains traceless even five days after he went missing. This is ridiculous. None of the five law enforcement agencies arrested the BNP leader, then who did it?

Bangladesh-New Zealand match
The Tigers really went down fighting in the last match with New Zealand. Mahmudullah Riyad created history for Bangladesh by being only the eighth batsman to score two successive hundreds in World ODI history.

Tigers, you can do it
Tigers, from an expatriate ex-baseball player who has adopted you as his own and who wants you to win, wants to give you some suggestions. Do not be satisfied with merely entering the quarterfinals. Respect but do not fear your opponent.

People shouldn't blow their nose anywhere and everywhere, shouldn't come to work with full blown flu because that will infect others, use tissues and hand sanitizers.

Best wishes, Tigers
The Bangladesh cricket team is now playing better than any other time.

Mob killing and subsequent attacks
I read a recent news report that a mob dragged a rape suspect out of jail, killing him and stringing him up from a clock tower in the north-eastern state of Nagaland, India.

West's partial view about Muslims
It always surprises me that nothing good is ever said by the West about Muslims; I never heard anything good in school about the Muslims.
