Media houses to operate during closure

Media houses will continue to operate normally, but mass gatherings should be avoided, Information Minister Hasan Mahmud told The Daily Star.

The state-owned BTV will cut down on televising new programmes and instead show reruns, he said.

The statement comes after the government ordered all state and private organisations to remain closed from March 26 till April 4.
