Authorities at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport yesterday advised patients suffering from conjunctivitis to come to the airport with a doctor’s prescription and necessary medicines before traveling abroad.

In a show of utter negligence, a senior pilot of Biman Bangladesh Airlines did not operate scheduled flights on the Dhaka-Chattogram-Muscat-Sylhet-Dhaka route.

Nine out of 15 female cockpit crew members of Biman have alleged that their bosses in training and scheduling departments discriminate and harass them so much so that it even jeopardised flight safety on at least one occasion.
