Cairo-Dhaka flights from November: Egyptair, ALO Dhaka Aviation ink MoU

A memorandum of understanding between Egyptair and ALO Dhaka Aviation Ltd was signed in Cairo on August 18 -- to start operating two flights per week between Dhaka and Cairo, starting from November 2021.

Although Egyptair is operating at 65% of its capacity at the moment, it agreed to start Cairo-Dhaka-Cairo direct flights to give the Egyptian tourism sector a boost.

This will, however, provide a cheaper option to Bangladeshi passengers and cargo destined for Europe and North America, being an alternative to Dubai and Istanbul.

"Our expatriates and businesspersons are expected to be benefitted as well," Bangladesh's Foreign Ministry said in a Facebook post.
