All courts to be closed from March 29-April 2: SC

The Supreme Court authorities have declared general holiday for all courts across the country including its Appellate and High Court Divisions from March 29 to April 2 as part of its efforts to contain the spread of novel coronavirus. 

Supreme Court Registrar General Md Ali Akbar yesterday issued a notification to this effect.

In the notification, he said the announcement for closure of courts has been made in line with the public administration ministry's gazette notification on March 24 that announced closure of all public and private offices from March 26 to April 4 as part of its efforts to contain the spread of coronavirus.

Both the Appellate and High Court Divisions of the SC were scheduled to reopen on March 29 after its ongoing vacation.
