No exams this year if schools remain closed: senior secretary
There will be no examinations if schools cannot be reopened this year, Primary and Mass Education Senior Secretary Akram-Al-Hossain said today.
"If the schools can resume activities in October or November, we will consider evaluation of the students to promote them to the new grades," Akram-Al-Hossain said while addressing a press conference at Secretariat today, marking International Literacy Day.
Before reopening of the schools, each institute will prepare a plan on how they will conduct their regular activities, he said.
The senior secretary said many kindergartenschools may be forced to close down due to fund crisis over the pandemic situation. But the students can get admission in the local government primary schools, he said.
"If our plan works, we can control the dropout," he added.
