TikTok hosts digital storytelling workshop for students at NSU

TikTok and North South University have held a two-day journalism and digital storytelling masterclass aimed at preparing students for work across traditional and digital media.

The programme, organised jointly with the university’s Department of Media, Communication, and Journalism, brought together students, journalists, academics, content creators and media professionals at the NSU campus.

Sessions examined how short-video platforms can be used for news reports, interviews, explainers, civic information and other forms of public-interest journalism. 

Participants also received training in vertical video production, audience engagement, fact-checking, digital safety and ethical content creation.
