US President Donald Trump yesterday said he was sending negotiators to Pakistan today for talks with Iran just days before a ceasefire in the Middle East expires, though Tehran has reportedly yet to decide whether it will participate.

There is currently no decision by Iran to send a negotiating delegation to Pakistan "as long as there is a naval blockade," Iran's Tasnim news agency reported on Sunday, citing its reporter.

Iran and the United States, along with Israel, are three days away from the end of a two-week ceasefire

As mediation efforts continued following high-level talks in Pakistan that failed to reach a deal, Iran said it will not allow the crucial maritime trade chokepoint to re-open until the United States ends a blockade of Iranian ports
