A group of students from the Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) has achieved third position in the Huawei ICT Competition 2023-2024 APAC Round. The competition, comprising over 6400 participants from 14 countries, has announced the winners at the APAC Award ceremony held in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Meta is launching a major update to its Meta AI assistant and its underlying large language model, Llama 3. The Meta AI assistant, first introduced last September, is now being integrated across Meta's core platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Whatsapp and Messenger. Users can interact with the assistant through search bars, message inboxes and even directly within the Facebook feed. Additionally, a standalone web app for Meta AI has been launched for the first time.

Elon Musk is considering implementing a small fee for new users on the social media network X (formerly known as Twitter), to enable posting and address the bot problem, according to recent announcements. Google Photos is set to launch a suite of AI-powered editing tools including Magic Eraser, Photo Unblur, and Magic Editor, which will become available to all Google Photos users starting May 15.
