Asus Zenbook UX32A Ultrabook is now available in the local market. Measuring 5.5mm to 18mm and weighing just 1.45Kg, artistically-crafted Zenbook features HD 13.3-inch wide view panel, 3rd generation Intel core i5 processor of 1.7 GHz clock speed, 6 GB DDR3 memory, 500GB hard drive with 24GB SSD hybrid storage, HD audio with Bang and Olufsen ICEpower speaker. The notebook also offers 3 USB 2.0, HDMI, VGA ports.
The screen has matte finishes to reduce glare while enhancing image colours.
The Ultrabook has a price tag of Tk 77,000.
External hard drive
A-DATA Technology Co, Ltd, the worldwide leader in DRAM memory and Flash application products, has introduced NH03, its first 3.5" external hard drive with the new-generation SuperSpeed USB 3.0 interface in the local market.
With the actual transfer rates reaching up to 140 MB/s, the NH03 takes data transfer performance on external HDD to a whole new level.
With this new product the company added yet another high-performance storage solution in its complete USB 3.0 lineup.
Other than speed, NH03 includes 256-bit AES encryption to keep personal data safe and confidential while protecting against any intrusion.
The NH03 external hard drive is now available in capacities of 3 terabytes in the market at Tk 15,000.
MacBook Pro
Computer Source Limited (CSL), a leading ICT products and service provider in the local market, has brought two new models of MacBook Pro which are best for graphical interface.
The 13-inch rMBP (Retina Macbook Pro), like the MacBook Air, loses the old optical drive, and adds a speedy solid-state drive (SSD). Design wise it looks a lot like a thinner version of the (non-Retina) MacBook Pro with the same responsive (backlit) keyboard and multi-touch track-pad.
According to Apple, the addition of the Retina display makes the new MacBook Pro the world's highest resolution notebook display. It crams in over 4 million pixels and boasts a 178-degree wide viewing angle along with 75 per cent less reflection and 29 per cent higher contrast than the model it replaces.
The MacBook pro has two USB 3 ports, two Thunderbolt ports, an HDMI port, a headphone jack, and an SDXC card slot.
The computer charges with a MagSafe 2 port, which uses the new T-shaped connector (the older L-shaped chargers require an adapter).
The two models are available in the market with dual core 2.5 GHz (with Turbo boost to 3.1 GHz) Intel Core i5 processor, 8 GB DDR3 RAM, and integrated Intel HD Graphics 4000.
The MD212ZA/A with 128 GB flash storage has the price tag of Tk 1, 47,000 while the MD213ZA/A with 256 GB flash storage is available at Tk 1, 67,000. The Macbooks come with a one year international warranty each.
Philips monitor
CSL a leading ICT products and service provider in the local market, has introduced an echo-friendly LED Monitor from Philips.
The Philips 22E3LHSU is 21.5-inch wide screen monitor. The full HD monitor has resolution of 1920 x 1080p. This is the highest resolution of HD sources for the best possible picture quality.
The monitor has built-in speakers and touch control menu which performs within 2ms. The monitor also has HDMI, DVI and VGA ports.
The Philips 22E3LHSU has a price tag of Tk 14,500 with three-year warranty.
