Jamaat-led alliance postpones press conference on seat-sharing plan

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami-led 11-party alliance has postponed today's press conference to announce its final seat-sharing plan for the national election.

This information was announced by Jamaat in a press release around 2:18pm.

The press conference, scheduled to be held at 4:30 pm today, has been postponed due to unavoidable reasons, said the release issued by Hamidur Rahman Azad, coordinator of the 11-party alliance and Jamaat assistant secretary general.

Earlier, Jamaat, in a press release sent to media at 11:26 am, said a press conference would be held at the Institution of Diploma Engineers in Dhaka’s Kakrail at 4:30 pm to announce the 11-party alliance’s final seat-sharing plan.

Top leaders of the alliance were supposed to be present at the event.
