Chinese team of law officers make courtesy call on Shahabuddin
The visiting Chinese delegation of Law officers made a courtesy call on President Justice Shahabuddin Ahmed at Bangabhaban yesterday, reports UNB. The Deputy Procurator-General of the Supreme People's Procuratorate of China, Wang Wenyuan, led the 5-member delegation. Welcoming the delegation, President Shahabuddin said the close cooperation between the law officers of Bangladesh and China is essential. He observed that exchange of such visit would strengthen the existing Bangladesh-China friendship and cooperation. The Chinese Deputy Procurator-General said that China and Bangladesh share common views on many regional and international issues. He also said that they were enlightened to see the existing legal system of Bangladesh. He appreciated the warm reception, accorded to him and the members of the delegation, by the government and the people of Bangladesh. The Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh, Wang Chunguy and Attorney General Barrister K S Nabi were present there on the occasion.
